In this preview release, we’re adding support for mobile reports to SQL Server Reporting Services for on-premises implementations. This means that Reporting Services will be able to support two report types, Paginated Reports, existing Reporting Services Reports and Mobile Reports based on the DataGen technology acquired in April 2015.
Mobile reports are optimized for mobile devices and form factors and provide an optimal experience for users accessing BI reports on mobile devices. With SQL Server 2016 CTP 3.2, you can write and manage mobile reports for easy use by your organization’s users online and on mobile devices.
Microsoft SQL Server Mobile Report Publisher is a single point for creating mobile reports. Improvements to the XEvents wizard to allow the use of templates when SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is connected to an Azure v12 server, user interface improvements to AlwaysEncrypted wizards and dialogs, an improvement to query execution in the Results pane to enable switching to the Results tab, and current execution saved to a file.
